These free classes are for novice birders who want to learn how to use the Merlin Bird ID app and the eBird mobile app.

On Tuesday we will focus on Merlin and on Wednesday we will focus on eBird. Sign up for one or both. Class size is limited to 12. These classes are co-sponsored by the Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department. Preference will be given to NNYA members and Town of Plattsburgh residents.

Prior to class, please download the free Merlin Bird ID app to your phone and under settings, install the US: Northeast Bird Pack. Also, please download the free eBird Mobile app to your phone and install the New York Bird Pack. Merlin and eBird use the same username and password. A follow-up practice field trip will be at Point au Roche State Park on Saturday morning, May 3rd.
